About the event

This is a workshop with a twist! You will not only learn Xero Payroll from beginning to end, but you will also learn common legislation that tends to trip people up. You will even walk away with a FAQ fact sheet to help you with these tricky questions later on. This workshop is ideal for someone currently using Xero Payroll but wants to ensure they are doing everything correctly and efficiently or maybe you are looking at moving to Xero Payroll.

As this is a hands-on workshop, we do require you to bring your own device. However, if this is not possible, we can make alternative arrangements.

You will learn:

• Common Legislation

• The set-up area

• Managing payroll items

• Adding and editing employees, including pay templates

• When to use the employee notes

• How to enter and process subcontractors with withholding tax

• Completing a pay-run including the automatic filing of PAYE

• One-off pay-runs and when to use them

• Managing timesheets including how staff enter, when not to enter, approval through to paying

• Managing and processing all leave, including what to do when working public holidays

• Reporting

• The Employee Payroll Me App

• Tips & Tricks to be more efficient

DURATION: 2.5hrs

A minimum of two attendees and a maximum of five

NZTE FUNDING:

We are registered with NZTE, which means that you maybe eligible for 50% off this workshop. Contact Kathryn at Marlborough Chamber of Commerce to see if you qualify. Phone 03 577 9575 or email kathryn@mcoc.org.nz. Please note that you do not have to be a Chamber member to qualify for the funding. Even if you are applying for funding, you still need to book and pay for the workshop in full. Once you have attended the workshop, we will refund you the funded portion directly to your bank account.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

(a) Cancellations 10 days or more prior to the Workshop will attract a 5% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the Workshop will attract a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 2 days prior to the Workshop are non-refundable.

(b) We reserve the right to postpone or cancel a Workshop (e.g. due to insufficient registrations) in which case we will offer you an alternative workshop date or a full refund of all registration fees.

(c) If you receive NZTE funding, we will refund you the funded portion, once you attend the workshop.
